Mrs. Glynnis Abraham, Business Partner Coordinator, surprised PE teacher, Ms. Sarah Eades, with a peg board for climbing and a fitness game. We can’t wait to watch our students master the peg board! Due to the threat of winter weather and hazardous road conditions, all after school activities for the Newberry County School District have been canceled for Thursday, February 20. Canceled activities include all athletic games and practices, Boys and Girls Club after school care, meetings, programs, adult education classes, and all other activities and events.
The District will also operate on a two-hour delayed schedule for Friday, February 21. Buses will run two hours later than the regular route time with schools and offices beginning two hours later than usual.
LET'S DO THE TWIST...........Our students met the 1st benchmark for our school-wide WIG. We are celebrating on Tuesday, 02/18, with a Sock Hop. Students may dress for the 50s Sock Hop.
Here is a great opportunity for our children to extend their learning from the walls of our school to a community event.
Mrs Jones, our art teacher, specifically taught our 5th graders about Dave the Potter during their clay unit.
We encourage you to take advantage of this local opportunity. This is a FREE performance at the Opera House before the SC Clay Conference begins.

We invite all Wildcats to wear red tomorrow, February 7, to bring greater attention to heart disease awareness as the leading cause of death for Americans.
Due to the threat of severe weather, Newberry County School District will dismiss schools at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 6. Buses will begin running from the schools at 2:00. Car rider pick up and student driver dismissal will also begin at 2:00. As a reminder, all afternoon activities have been cancelled.
